Moto boots are this year’s answer to sneakers. Comfortable, functional and a bit more elevated than the sneakers we’ve seen everywhere these past couple years. I still wear sneakers many days of the week, but as a 90’s girl, have greatly enjoyed the moto boots comeback! At first, they can seem intimidating or too grungey. However, you’ll find how easy they are to wear and can truly be pulled off with almost ANY outfit. Here are 5 ways to wear moto boot that you can start with pieces you already have in your closet! Here’s how to wear ’em!
How to Wear Moto Boots 5 Different Ways
Wear Moto Boots with a Midi Dress
This was one of my favorite looks at Paris Fashion Week! A body con, midi dress with a Fall coloring and cross body mini bag! This look really took me back to when I first fell in love with moto boots back in the 90’s! I would wear them exclusively with Calvin Klein jeans & midi dresses. This dress felt like a homecoming to me, super comfortable and retro while also feeling really modern. This first look is probably my favorite ways to wear moto boots. Get the look below!
Wear Moto Boots with a Gown
Wearing the moto boots with a gown felt really different. I have worn plenty of gowns with sneakers at this point but this felt quite rebelious. I wore this look to several high profile events at Paris Fashion Week including Delvraux presentation, Andrew Gu runway, Yves Saint Laurent party and the Serbian Fashion week bash! Aside from the huge oil spot I got at the center top of my dress thanks to my big nose, I felt really chic and modern as the evening wore on. I highly recommend pairing your next gown with moto boots for a fresh look!
Wear Moto Boots with a Fall Floral
This fall floral dress is so easy to wear. It’s a bit more romantic than the first midi dress, but felt fitting to wear the moto boots to our pumpkin patch outing. To makeit more feminine, I wore a gold chain belt and a smaller quilted bag (not show). This also feels really 90’s with the midi lenght and muted neutral colors. The dress is made out of mesh which is nice juxtaposition to the edgy faux crocodile leather moto boots.
Wear Moto Boots with Skinny Jeans & Cardi
This is one of my favorite looks for running errands or heading to meetings where I don’t need to wear a suit but need to look sane. 🙂 The black skinny jeans are instant moto chic. However, I soften up the look a bit with an airy cardigan in a classic print to look put together instantly. The cardigan/kimono adds a touch of femininity that doesn’t play out with a moto jacket, see below for how I wear moto on moto!
Wear Moto Boot with a Jogger Set
Ok, so this is probably my most common drop-off/coffee run outfit. It’s just enough to look as though you got dressed without feeling like you did. This jogger set has had some of the highest ROI out of any outfit to date. Check it out below! Add a classic camel coat and you’re almost appropriate for any occasion. 😉 It would also work beautifully with a faux fur addition in lieu of a camel coat. The biker boots really pull the look together in a way that sneakers or furry boots can’t here.
Wear Moto Boots with a Mini Skirt Dress
This is another high 90’s inspo look. The velvet, the black leather jacket and the careless hair. This dress was love at first sight for me. It is almost too short but the cut is so good it works out! In this instance because the dress is so girly, it felt like the right balance to add the edgy moto jacket and call it a day! A puffer on colder days would also work really well!
