I moved out of Chicago about a year ago, so when I go back, it’s still very much home! Given that, I was looking for a hotel that felt inviting, spacious and in the loop. If you’re looking for a chic Chicago Hotel, check out my review of my stay at The Canopy by Hilton in the Chicago Loop! It’s awesome to stay in a place that is stylish and just plain cool! It’s also close to everything you want to see in Chicago; across the street from Willis Tower, Chicago’s financial district, The Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and Chicago Riverwalk are in walking distance.
Upon Arrival
The entrance is beautiful and regal and conveniently located in front of Giordiano’s pizza, which is a Chicago staple! And there’s a ton of restaurants and shops close by too. Upon arrival at The Canopy by Hilton Chicago, there’s one of the chicest lounges I’ve ever seen. It has a beautiful Mad Men feel that’s both retro, timeless and elegant. You can have a drink, snack or meet up with friends in lounge. The elevator hall way is as “Instagramable” as it gets with a beautiful white canvas and black chandelier and accents.
Upon heading up the elevator and getting off at our floor, there added security before you enter the rooms’ wing. You need an active room key to go up the elevator and get into the rooms section.
The Rooms
Now moving on to the rooms of this chic Chicago hotel, I was so impressed with the spacious closets, bathroom and living/lounge space at The Canopy by Hilton! The entrance alone, was impressive with a walk-in closet type of feel, the biggest bathroom I’ve ever seen with a generous dressing area and vanity. The in-room lounge looked like it was taken out of an Arch Digest magazine with beautiful rich gold tones, fringe couch, modern lighting, huge TV and mini bar/fridge set up. I literally wanted to move in!
Moving on the the bedroom, wow! An in room desk with plenty of desk space and soft lighting that was soothing and comforting. The bed was huge and so comfortable that I nearly melted on the mattress and pilllow. It’s just so well thought of and laid out. It feels so spacious if you’re looking to stay a few days or have family with you.
