Have you seen that meme that syas “77% of women reading this have their hair in a weird bun right now”? Well, that’s me 50% of the time! I love buns and sometimes want a messy bun look that looks, well more put together! LOL Here’s the how to elevate your messy bun tutorial in 3 easy steps! It should take you about 60 seconds with a little practice!
Elevate your Messy Bun Tutorial!
1. Start with a low bun
Secure the low bun at the nape of the neck with a hair tie. This works well with damp hair or slightly dirty texturized hair if you need volume.
2. Pull out the side gently to loosen
On both sides, ideally at the same time, gently pull out your hair to loosen. Not much at all, just enough make space for your hair.
3. Roll it Up!
Roll up the bun upward into the space you created and keep rolling! With a bobby pin secure the tuck and let out some wispies in the front if you’d like!
That’s it! Easy breezy hair that looks like I tried just a little bit. 🙂 I like to spray it with light hold hair spray after to hold it in place. You can also add a flower of fun hair accessory, which I obviously had not time for.
