Are you a party person? I am! Or at least I thought I was. 🙂 I know I love going to them and having them. However, my mind always goes blank when I think about what I actually need for a party besides the obvious; food, drinks and people. 🙂 When we started planning our 10 year anniversary party for MaZi Dance Fitness, I started to panic! What exactly did we need? What were the expectations for such a huge milestone? Thanks to For Your Party we nailed it!
Rachel from For Your Party, had reached out to me about working together for an event last sumer. Therefore, I thought of them when I got stuck on the planning! She immediately got back to me and even though we only had a week or so, she just made the magic happen. First of all, she was beyond fun to work with, she made me feel like we were planning the worlds’ most important event! I confided in her that I was completely clueless, and could tell if I was at a great party but didn’t know how to throw one. She kindly let me know that she was there to help and so we began!
For Your Party! First things first
First, we got through how many people we were expecting, and went through what I had locked down already. We walked through the event theme and hashtags we were using; #MaZiTwirls10. Then, since we were only serving wine and dessert/chocolate (yeah, the basic food groups!), she put together a few design concepts for drinking cups and cocktail napkins! The options she presented were enough but not so many I felt overwhelmed. I was able to quickly decide on colors and fonts.
Party Favors For Your Party!
Party favors is usually where I start fretting. Like, what can I give away that’s cute and useful? I’m hyper aware of how much trash can accumulate when party favors aren’t either. Since we were celebrating 10 years of having a fitness business and we know our clients so well I knew that a nod to self-care would be ideal! Rachel suggested matchboxes because they are just so freakin’ cute and tea bags. I loved the idea of matchboxes because I feel like all the cool kids collect them and with Fall here, I’m lighting candles like it’s going out of style. The tea bags aligned perfectly with the though of lighting a candle and sipping your tea!
A Cup of Awesome
The cups were the perfect size, really ergonomic and pretty. With our hashtag and logo it was the perfect accent for everyone to hold on to for the evening. 🙂
Cocktail Napkins
These napkins were high quality and super absorbant. I loved being able to pick the colors and how easily the logo and caption were integrated.
Teabags
Funnily enough, when I saw the Tea Bag design, I remarked to Rachel that I LOVED it, but hello, she had misspelled “soul”, as “sole”. She kindly replied that she could change but thought it would be funny to speak to our dancing shoes, hello…………”soles”. After that, I was like, clearly she’s got it, I can just go away! Haha. I loved that she intiutively knew the insights of the theme and what our business was about. That spot-on instinct is rare and it made everything so easy!
Matchboxes
I really love these and I think our clients did too! The foiled font was beautiful and classic. I love the idea of a party favor lasting for a while! There were several designs we could have chosen from but this cute little black box was on brand with the fuschia font.
Icing on the Cake
For Your Party also has an array of categories that I didn’t need this time around. For example, table cloths, invitations, menus, coasters, Powder Room gift sets, coffee cups, you name it!
