If you’re a Gucci lover, you’re probably familiar with the Gucci Horsebit comeback! I’m excited to share my Gucci Horsebit Belt Review, if you’re considering adding a timeless statement accessory to your closet. The fit, styling and feel of it is quite different than the super popular Double G Belt that everyone seemed to have in 2018. The Gucci Horsebit belt is more understated and versatile in my opinion.
If you had the Double G Belt, as I did, you’re probably on the fence about getting another Gucci belt. I got my Horsebit belt last February as I was looking for a waist belt to cinch my waist with dresses. Additionally, I was also looking for a go-to accessory that would elevate my most basic outfits.
The Fit
This belt is definitely meant for your “true waist” vs lower on top of your hips. While I could place the Double G Belt on my hips with low-rise pants, it’s not possible with this belt. I have a 65 and usually wear a 24 in pants, so you definitely want to consider that when shopping for it.
The Options
I opted for the brown leather, with the “emblematic symbol of the House rooted in its equestrian heritage”. If you’re looking for something less “logo-ey”, you can opt for the super subtle black, white or plain brown, even red/green belts!
Wear & Tear
As I mention in this Gucci Horsebit Belt Review styling video, I’ve worn this belt dozens of times with everyday wear for the past 7 months and it’s held up beautifully. I can be a bit rough and tumble with my accessories because I’ve moved so much in the past year, have traveled with this belt extensively and belts usually take a beating! The Gucci Horsebit Belt has held up beautifully and mine looks fairly new after a LOT of wear and tear.
