What’s a shootie?! It’s a shoe that’s also a bootie! I have been eyeing these shooties by Cecelia New York for months. Finally, I was able to get my hands on them and the toughest decision was black, white or tan? I settled on the white, but seriously may have been top 5 toughest decisions of 2020. JK, sorta. Here’s how to wear shooties, 5 ways with the start of Fall in mind!
1. Denim Dress
I love this denim dress because of it’s puffed sleeves, pockets and belt! You could also style it with a denim skirt and chambray top for a similar look. I added some red sunnies to add a pop of color and a little nod to red, white and blue.
2. Retro Vibe
These were some of my favorite pants this season. They are so comfy and are trans-seasonal, or is it pan-seasonal? The material doesn’t wrinkle, and I feel like a bad-ass when I wear them! Best part? Feels like I’m wearing sweatpants. 🙂 My exact outfit linked below. If you don’t want to spend money, you could also find some bell bottoms or major flares in your closet. I know it!
3. Classic feminine
I love this classic pouffy skirt so much and so excited that it’s now $29.99! It’s so flattering, with a fitted waiste and gorgeous pouf with pleats. Any big maxi skirt will work! To make the look extra classic, I paired it with a button down that’s a little bigger. I would probably tie it in the front if I could do it all over again and pick a more fitted white button down.
4. Denim & Leather
I love the Fall because I get to wear “leather”. The black jeans with the camel color coat is a softer look than if I would of work a black moto jacket as well. I think the white shooties balance it out nicely! Other color combos that would work well are: black jeans with blue denim jacket, black moto jacket with blue jeans or skirt. When considering how to wear shooties, I balance try to balance the edge with a bit of softness!
5. Final how to wear shootsies- Corset Inspo
The corset is one of this season’s biggest trends! When thinking of how to style shooties, it instantly came to mind. To make it more casual I choose my dad jeans as a bottom. You could also add some navy denim, a gray wash or even high shine leggings too.
