Noon By Noor New York Fashion Week 2019

Designers and Styles I saw:

This February I got the chance to attend New York Fashion Week and see some of the most well known fashion designers work on the runway. I was so excited to be in that environment and stand only feet away from designers that I love. I wanted to do a post to give you a little taste of what I saw with a focus on fashion designers Noon by Noor.

Background:

Noon By Noor is a fashion label that was created by two women from Bahrain in 2008. Cousins and close friends Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa studied fashion and women’s wear in the US together before returning home to Bahrain after graduating to bring their fashion ideas to life. The designers work are best known for their modern style, neutral tones, intricate embellishments, and sharp tailoring. Other designer’s works are beautiful, but I like that I could actually see myself wearing Noon by Noor’s clothing in real life! They have some gorgeous pieces for elevated every day outfits that mamas alike could rock.

The Show

The show was so refined and elegant. Everything seemed glossy and perfectly tailored. The make-up was simple and fresh, with the hair mostly tied half-up and straight. I loved the lighting of the show as well. Unlike most other shows, where you sit on both sides of the runway, this one had us all sit on one side. At first I was confused but then saw the full effect; it was glorious!

What having us all sit on one side did was provide a “stage” for the clothes and made it quite the canvas for the designs. Everything felt clean and modern with not anything extra or lacking. I really loved the vibe of this show. I usually remember the music but it all tied in so well that it seemed like one seamless fantasy!

The Crowd

This was one of the first shows of the day and energy was running high! Lots of amazing people were here; Poppy Delevingne Miss J, and several other celeb bloggers. It was so fun to watch everyone get an adrenaline kick to start the day. I also noticed beauty magazines like Allure beauty editors obsessing about the fresh faced approach the make-up.

The Influence

As we are will into the season I see so much of Noon by Noor in other brands, i.e. TopShop, Zara and other fast fashion lines recreating the clean lines of Noon by Noor’s slip dresses, flowy skirts, oversized sweatshirts and chunky footwear.
