Designers and styles I saw:
Pamella Roland is what dress dreams are made of. If you can imagine the most whimiscal, flowy, sequined, feathered and one of a kind dresses, these are them! Every dress that came down the runway was somehow more of an eye candy than the last. Even silhouettes and colors that I normally don’t care for, I suddenly NEEDED. I wanted to do a post to give you a little taste of what I saw with a focus on fashion designer Pamella Roland.

Background:
Pamella DeVos, President and Designer of fashion label Pamella Roland, is a creative designer who takes inspiration from the world around her to design stunning evening wear pieces for women. For example, her fall 2019 collection was inspired by the colorful scenery and architecture of Bali! Pamella originally graduated from Michigan State university with a business degree. However, she always had an interest for fashion. She created her label and debuted her first collection at the fall of New York Fashion week 2002. As a result her collection was met with praise from critics and buyers, and she has since then built her brand as a well known designer. Pamella’s designs are the DEFINITION of dream dresses. Her collections are bold and versatile and super inspiring to see in person.

The Show
This show was held at Chelsea Piers, which was the perfect venue to accomodate the shashays of the dresses. The seating was such that models came out of stage right and directly down the the runway with people on both sides as usual but then took a U-Turn upwards to go to stage left. Leaving all of us in the crowd breathless! The music was the perfect accompaniment to the delicate details that were on every piece.
The crowd:
I loved people watching here! There were so many fascinating fashion figures that I have long admired such as Vanessa Williams & Nigel Barker. Even though the show was later and everyone had already been to a handful of shows, the show re-energized us! We were all transported from start to finish. Influences:
I have definitely seen some of Pamella Roland’s influence has come into play. Especially as it comes to feathers, sequins, feathers/sequins, and volume of the overall composition of the dress. If you’re a girly girl like me, you will love her dresses. You can find her dresses at Neiman Marcus!
