I have had a bee phobia most of my life even though I’ve only been stung once and it wasn’t that bad. Even so, when I see a bee I run and leave my belongs behind, irrationally. I do however, admire them from afar both aesthetically and philosophically. When Waxing Poetic reached out and I looked through their beautiful catalog of whimsically crafted jewelry, this bee pendant really spoke to me. A combination of pearl and white and gold metals, I could see myself wearing this with many outfits and on many occasions. I encourage you to browse through Waxing Poetic’s website, it’s absolutely stunning and full of meaningful pieces.
Back to my bee problem….here are some quotes that resonate and evoke respect from me to this little insect that gives us so much including most of the worlds’ food supply. You may have read on this blog how much I love quotes here!
The Queen Bee is a servant leader, much like many of the women I know and am inspired by: Here are the quotes:
-
Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it so it goes on flying anyway.
-
The bee is more honored than other animals, not because she labors, but because she labors for others.
-
The flower doesn’t dream of the bee, it blossoms and the bee comes.
-
The busy bee has no time for sorrow.
-
It’s not so much how busy you are, but why you are busy. The bee is praised, the mosquito is swatted.
What is are some of your favorite mantras? Do you have any animal phobias? XO, Z
