Ruffles & Ballet Flats

We finally had a “nice day” in Chicago! It was short lived, as it started to pour in the late morning but it’s so nice to walk out of the house without a heavy coat and snow boots! The inspo for today’s post are these blue ballet flats that I’ve been dying to wear since I discovered them last month! They are so comfy and dressy, and they are offered in a variety of colors so I chose blue for boys! 🙂 With shoes I’m a total Gemini, either it’s comfort and functional flats or high heel ridiculousness. I think that these flats take me somewhere closer to the middle of the road and I got so many compliments during the errands I ran this morning in them. They are Mary Borja shoes, an emerging brand and based in Chicago, founded by a woman! Love, love, love! The other item, I’ve been holding my breath to wear is this off-the-shoulder blouse by J.Crew! It’s currently on sale and the fabric is this beautiful airy chiffon that doesn’t wrinkle and low maintenance. The stars are fun and bright without being too in your face and it gives you so many options with pairings. I would love to try the blouse with a neutral pencil skirt next or tight black jeans and big high heeled boots! This outfit made me so happy to think of the spring possibilities and shedding a few layers in the next couple of months. I didn’t even bother with make-up (as you can probably tell)!

What are you excited wear this Spring?! XO Z
