Blue & White is one of my favorite color combinations, it always reminds of summer, the ocean, relaxation! I love this dress because it’s so easy to wear, with just enough length for any occasion and flirty ruffles to play up the neckline. It’s also super affordable, flattering and available in several sizes, including plus sizes. I also liked the adjustable straps since that’s sometimes where fit goes wrong for me with dresses because of a short torso. I was tempted to do espadrilles with this look but then veered towards a pop of color with the hot pink shoes.
I also included some links to a favorite home furnishing of mine, my Versailles chairs! They were pretty hard to find a couple of years ago when I got them at Restoration Hardware but I just saw that online furniture retailers have come out with a version that’s a better price! If you’re looking for a classic conversation piece that’s a little out there, I recommend it. We usually sit our kids there for their birthdays to track how big they’re getting and I always love sitting there to cozy with the kids or curl up with a book. I pick my furniture a lot less lightly than I do my outfits but the common thread is usually elegance, originality and timelessness. I first saw chairs like these at the Ritz in Miami and made a mental note that if I ever had the space for them I would get them. It’s funny how love at first sight works in many ways!
